About us

Launched in 2018, foodpod denmark is a podcast telling the rarely told stories about the passionate, innovative people working in the Danish food cluster and how they make a difference in the world.

Cath Mersh

Cath is the host and creator of foodpod denmark. A former newspaper journalist in the UK, she is now a freelance consultant in Denmark after moving here in the '90s. She discovered a need among Danish companies for native English corporate journalism and communication support. 

Along with her journalist qualification, Cath holds a BA (Hons) degree in English and Politics from De Montfort University in the UK and an Executive Master in Corporate Communication from Aarhus University in Denmark. She is also a member of the Danish Food Cluster.

Johnny Kühn

Johnny is a visual and audio designer with over 20 years of experience. His work ranges from optimising corporate identities, UX design, publications to logo design.

Additionally, Johnny's work as a sound designer and audio branding composer includes animated presentations, ringtones and soundscapes for branding opportunities. You can hear his work in foodpod denmark. He created the sound and visual identity of the podcast. 

In 1994, Johnny created Kühn Design. He holds a degree from the Design School in Kolding, Denmark.

Jan Sejersen

A recent transplant to Denmark, Jan has worked in fundraising, marketing and communications for nonprofits in the US. Today, she is a freelancer based in Copenhagen.

As part of foodpod denmark, she works behind the scenes to create online content and contribute to foodpod denmark's engagement. 

She holds a BA in International Relations and Art History from the University of Delaware in the US and a MSc in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
